About Museum Vinea Crianza

Vinea Crianza is a red wine from D.O. Cigales, produced by the winery Finca Museum, in Cigales (Valladolid).
 

 

Finca Museum was born with the expansion of Grupo Barón de Ley outside La Rioja. In fact, it is in Cigales where they found a unique vineyard that allowed them to make their first wines, showing all the character and uniqueness of this area.

Finca Museum has 185 hectares of their own, and 60 controlled hectares. These vineyards are planted with century-old vines, rooted on poor soils, with low yields, but rich in minerals. All of them are cultivated in a personalised way, applying sustainable viticulture that is respectful with the environment.
 

 

Vinea Crianza is a red wine made with Tinta del País from vineyards that are located on the farm itself.

Once the grapes are manually harvested, they are transferred to the winery in small quantities to preserve all their qualities. At the winery, the grapes go through pre-fermentation maceration at 5ºC in stainless steel deposits. In these same deposits, they ferment at 27°C with short but frequent pump overs. After the alcoholic fermentation, the wine remains in French and American oak barrels for 14 months.

2021

Museum Vinea Crianza 2021 exhibits a subtly mature profile, distinguished by its freshness and vivacity. On the nose, one can discern aromas of red fruits such as cherries and raspberries, complemented by spicy notes that add complexity. On the palate, its fruity acidity renders it vibrant, offering a concentrated flavour that does not necessitate residual sugar. The finish is elegant, leaving a beautiful aftertaste that entices further enjoyment.

Museum Vinea Crianza 2020 is a red wine renowned for its aromatic intensity. It presents a compote of red fruits intermingled with delicate hints of mocha and licorice, set against a mineral backdrop and enlivened by a refreshing balsamic stroke. On the palate, its texture is velvety and highly expressive, featuring the delightful presence of sweet tannins and a luscious fruity flavor.
2016 Vinea Crianza 2016 is an intense, elegant and enveloping wine. On the nose, aromas of compote red fruit with smoky and mineral notes stand out. In the mouth, it is expressive, extolled by its silkiness and a long mid-palate. An extremely versatile wine.
