Ailalá - Ailalelo Godello de Altura 2023 presents itself with a pale yellow, almost golden hue that gleams in your glass. Bringing it to the nose, it unveils a burst of fruity notes, where green apple and peach dominate, accompanied by a subtle citrus hint of lime. About Ailalá - Ailalelo Ailalelo Godello de Altura

The singer Rosalía made it clear; things done well are done with style, with sophistication... with elevation! Inspired by a phrase from the Dominican broadcaster Mariachi Budda, her hit with J Balvin is a tribute to classic reggaeton, brimming with rhythm, strength, and authenticity. And that same vibrant spirit is also bottled.

In the heart of Ribeiro, the Ailalá – Ailalelo project also does things with elevation—literally. This is how Godello de Altura is born, a wine that comes from a small plot of over 30-year-old vines, situated at 400 metres above sea level, in the highest area of the denomination. A godello that grows gazing at the sky, maturing slowly under the Atlantic sun.

The harvest is manual, meticulously carried out, with the clusters collected in small 18 kg boxes to maintain their freshness. In the winery, a double manual selection is performed on the table, where only the healthiest and most expressive fruits are chosen. The pressing is gentle, and only the free-run juice, the cleanest and most delicate, is used. Then, a cold static settling prepares the must for a slow and natural fermentation, with indigenous yeasts in 500-litre oak barrels. Only two barrels allow for a subtle micro-oxygenation, respecting the pure character of the variety. Once fermentation is complete, the wine remains on its fine lees, gaining texture, volume, and complexity.

And as Ailalá—or its variant Ailalelo—is a cry of celebration, an "¡Olé!" with a Celtic soul that accompanies good moments, this wine could not be named otherwise. Ailalá – Ailalelo Godello de Altura is a celebration in a glass, a song without words that thrills from the first sip. It is Galicia... with elevation.
