About Albariño de Fefiñanes III Año

Albariño de Fefiñanes III Año is a white wine from Rías Baixas, produced by Bodegas Palacio de Fefiñanes. The winery, founded in 1928, is located in the town of Cambrados (Pontevedra).

Fefiñanes Albariño is made from 100% Albariño. The grapes come from vineyards planted on granitic soils in the valley of Salnés (Cambados).

The development of this white wine begins with a harvest during the first week of October. Once in the winery the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks for 20 days.

Finally, Albariño de Fefiñanes III Año performs a 27-month aging in stainless steel, six of these months on lees, applying "bâtonnage".

2021
Albariño de Fefiñanes III Año 2021 is a white wine notable for its alluring complexity. On the nose, it presents aromas of yellow fruits accompanied by notes of beeswax and honey, with a citrus hint reminiscent of lemon that imparts freshness. On the palate, it reveals a silky, fresh, and balanced volume, with a smooth texture and a long finish. This wine is an excellent choice for those seeking a version of the Albariño variety with character and depth.
 
2016 The Albariño de Fefiñanes III Año 2016 stands out for its opulent aromatic expression, featuring intricate scents of stone fruit, white blossoms, and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is dry with a hint of citrus, complemented by a creaminess that bestows elegance and complexity.
2015 Albariño de Fefiñanes III Año 2015 is a mature, creamy and elegant white wine. A fantastic vintage that shows all the virtues of the variety, ripe white fruit, with citrus notes and a very distinguished mineral note. In the mouth, it is voluminous, with a lively mid-palate and a dry and fresh finish.
2012 Good entry, creamy, silky and with volume. Elegant and very balanced. Good acidity.

Very pale yellow colour with golden highlights. Dense tear.

Medium to high intensity. Aromas of ripe fruit. Citrus notes, mineral and white flowers.
2011 On the palate this is a creamy wine with volume. Long finish and full of personality.

On the nose there are predominately ripe fruit aromas and mineral notes.
2010 This Spanish wine shows a serious, elegant and bulky attack. It has a silky, dense, fleshy and wrapping texture. It is perfectly balanced. Its acidity and its structure form its central axis and will allow ageing this wine in the bottle for long. An enjoyable wine.

Beautiful and very pale golden colour with golden reflections. Clean and very bright. Thin and elegant tears.

This new vintage keeps showing very expressive, complex, subtle and elegant nasal aromas with a high intensity. The notes of yellow stone fruit, citrus and nuts and the creamy smoked aromas share centre stage with the intense vegetal hints and with its mineral background.
2009 A wine with a serious, strong and bulky attack which shows an unctuous dense and embracing texture, perfectly balanced with an acidity and a fleshy structure that dominate its mid palate and which will lengthen its life in time. A very enjoyable wine.

A wine with an outstanding intensity and very expressive, subtle and elegant nasal aromas with a good complexity. Its notes of yellow stone fruit and citrus are released along with aromas of nuts and creamy smoked hints. Some intense herbal reminiscences and a fresh and nice mineral background are also noticed.
2007 This wine with its own character has a wide and elegant attack, with lots of volume. It has a creamy, tasty and fresh mid palate, in which the complex aromas felt on the nose are very well balanced. Great acidity and a long and lingering finish with nice creamy feelings.
