About Alléno & Chapoutier Côtes du Rhône Rouge
One is the French chef with the most Michelin stars. The other is the winemaker who boasts the highest Parker scores (nine of his wines have achieved 100 points from the American critic). Together, they form an unstoppable duo.
Over a decade ago, Yannick Alléno and Michel Chapoutier decided to join forces, and now, many years later, their wines continue to be a resounding success. This is all due to the love and genuine passion they both feel for every corner of the Rhône Valley. In the north, specifically in the A.O.C Côtes du Rhône, they create Alléno & Chapoutier Côtes du Rhône Rouge, a unique and flavourful red wine.
Alléno & Chapoutier Côtes du Rhône Rouge is a single-varietal Grenache that thrives in these lands of sand, granite, and marl rich in iron oxide that stretch along the steep banks of the Rhône. In the northern region, the climate is more humid and cooler than in the south, with harsher winters and mild summers, devoid of high temperatures. This inevitably affects the ripening of the grape, as in this area the harvests are later, resulting in wines with a much fresher and more defined profile than those from the south. Additionally, one must consider the presence of the mistral, a strong dry wind that, besides being a challenge for everyone, is quite useful in keeping fungi and fungal diseases caused by humidity at bay.
Alléno & Chapoutier Côtes du Rhône Rouge is harvested manually and crafted in the winery with the utmost care, resulting in a wine with a very distinctive profile. This is attributed to the concrete vats where Alléno & Chapoutier Côtes du Rhône Rouge ferments and rests for almost a year.
In any oenological guide, Chapoutier is an essential name. The same applies to Alléno in gastronomic guides. Surely, following their advice ensures a delightful and unique evening. Undoubtedly, the best wine to pair with it would be Alléno & Chapoutier Côtes du Rhône Rouge.

| 2022 | Alléno & Chapoutier Côtes du Rhone Rouge 2022 is a red wine that captivates with its vibrant freshness and approachability. Upon the initial tasting, a spectrum of ripe red fruits such as cherries and strawberries unfolds, interwoven with hints of sweet spices and a distinctive garrigue aroma, reminiscent of the quintessential Mediterranean flora. Its body is light, and its succulent flavor makes it a delight for those in search of a youthful and exuberant wine. Relish in its lively and smooth essence with every glass. |
|
| 2020 | Alléno & Chapoutier Côtes du Rhone Rouge 2020 is a juicy, intense and very tasty red, full of defined nuances that make it very fine on the palate.
