Alphonse Mellot Domaine La Moussière is an organic white wine from AOC Sancerre. A Sauvignon Blancmonovarietal produced by Alphonse Mellot.

Alphonse Mellot is a winery owned by a family with a tradition in the world of wine that began in the sixteenth century. Alphonse Mellot Domaine La Moussière is produced with vineyards that are between 4 and 40 plus years old. Among them they have a total of 34 hectares, with average yields of 53 hectolitres per hectare and a planting density of about 10,000 plants/ha. They are manually harvested into 25kg boxes so that the bunches and berries do not suffer breakage and reach the winery intact. They are all grown organically or biodynamically.

As soon as it arrives in the winery, the Alphonse Mellot Domaine La Moussière harvest is pressed and the must is racked at a low temperature for about 48 hours. It is then fermented at a controlled temperature to obtain pleasant fermentation aromas, and once vinified it is aged on lees for 7 to 8 months in barrels.
