About Andreas Bender Dhron Hofberger Kabinet

If there's one thing a DJ knows, it's how to mix with purpose: when to increase the tempo, when to lower the intensity, and above all, how to maintain the perfect balance so everything flows seamlessly. Such is Andreas Bender, a man who, far from following the traditional score of the Mosel (Germany), has crafted his own blend with soul, precision, and a style unlike any other.

This young and dynamic winemaker from the picturesque village of Leiwen has had wine in his veins since childhood. His father was involved in vine cultivation and the development of new varieties. Andreas learned early on that the vineyard is not only treaded but also studied. After his time at Geisenheim (the "Harvard" of German wine) and experiences in countries like the USA, Austria, or Italy, he returned home with a clear vision: to create wines with his own signature.

His style breaks the mould in a country where the individual origin of each plot is highly valued. Instead of bottling each vineyard separately as German tradition dictates, Andreas blends different plots to achieve wines with a consistent character, much like the great champagne houses. However, when a terroir is truly special, he lets it speak for itself.

Thus is born Andreas Bender Dhron Hofberger Kabinet, a single-vineyard white riesling that expresses the full potential of one of the finest slopes in the Mosel. In this wine, Andreas follows a very respectful approach: manual harvesting, slow fermentation with natural yeasts, and a brief ageing to preserve the purity of the fruit. No unnecessary interventions. Just time, patience, and trust in the vineyard.
