About Vol d'Ànima de Raimat Blanc

They say we don't remember days, but moments. And at the Castle of Raimat, a magnificent 12th-century edifice perched atop a hill in Raimat, Lleida (Catalonia), each instant becomes a unique memory, where history and wine merge in an exceptional setting.

Since its establishment in 1914, José Raventó took a gamble on barren lands in the northwest of Lleida, a place no one had deemed suitable for cultivation. Today, those seemingly inhospitable lands have become the cornerstone of success for one of the most illustrious families in the wine world. Decades later, Raimat has not only preserved its legacy but has been the driving force behind the D.O. Costers del Segre, perfectly reflecting its tradition of excellence and evolution.

Vol d’Ànima de Raimat Blanc is the true essence of everything this winery represents: a white wine crafted from a blend of chardonnay, xarel·lo, and albariño. Sourced from Finca Raimat, where sustainable viticulture is practiced, this wine embodies the perfect harmony between winemaking tradition and oenological innovation. The continental climate with Mediterranean nuances, along with the thermal contrasts during grape maturation, enhances the concentration of aromas, transforming each bottle into a true explosion of character and freshness.

The meticulous production begins with night harvesting, ensuring the freshness of the grapes. The vinification process respects the maturation times of each variety, and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures extracts the full aromatic essence of the grapes. The result is a wine that captures the entire essence of the D.O. Costers del Segre.

With a label adorned with the same tiles that have decorated the castle walls since 1935, Vol d’Ànima de Raimat Blanc evokes the rich history that permeates each bottle. 2023

Vol d’Ànima de Raimat Blanc 2023 exhibits a pale yellow hue with greenish reflections that denote its freshness. On the nose, it presents a complex blend of yellow fruits such as peach and nectarine, white fruits like pear and melon, alongside citrus and floral hints. On the palate, it is fresh and creamy, with a long and invigorating finish of lime and lemon.

Vol D'Ànima De Raimat Blanc 2022 is a white wine that offers aromas of fruits like peach, nectarine, pears and melon on the nose, accompanied by citrus, tropical notes, white flowers and aromatic Mediterranean herbs. The palate is creamy and well-structured, reaffirming the fruity notes found on the nose. A fresh, round and versatile white wine.
2021 Vol d’Ànima de Raimat Blanco is an aromatic wine that exudes delightful fruity aromas on the nose, with hints of peach, nectarine, pear, and melon. On the palate, it is refreshingly crisp, showcasing pronounced acidity and flavors reminiscent of yellow fruits. This young and creamy white wine culminates in a lingering finish.

Ànima de Raimat Blanco 2019 is a fresh, creamy, fruity white wine, with some touches of citrus.
2014 The taste is a fresh, yet structured and creamy. Yellow fruit, peach and nectarine. The aftertaste is persistent with hints of citrus.
