About Apasionado de José Pariente

Apasionado de José Pariente is a sweet wine from Rueda made by Bodegas Jose Pariente. This is a varietal Sauvignon Blanc wine.

The grapes are collected in a single vineyard, one of the first of its kind to be planted in Rueda, over 28 years ago. The soil in which the grapes are grown, a typically boulderous land, is poor in organic matter and limestone, which is typical of lands at this altitude. The vineyard focus on getting ripe grapes. Clusters maintain a high degree of acidity.
On the other hand, the fact that they have various pruning practices in the vineyard allows grapes of low production but high quality. In the winery, this is thoroughly checked. The maceration occurs at very low temperatures, which facilitates the preservation of the primary aromas. After a lightweight tire pressing, lees are worked over five-months in order to get a very structured flavour. The wine, once clarified, is left in a cold environment and filtered. Apasionado de José Pariente is the result of the concern to develop an innovative sweet wine, away from traditional approaches.

José Pariente Apasionado 2023 unleashes an uncommon aromatic explosion in sweet wines. The pale yellow hue with greenish reflections is merely the beginning of its complexity. As you bring it closer to your nose, notes of exotic fruits such as passion fruit and mango awaken, combined with a fresh scent of freshly cut grass and an intriguing mineral touch. On the palate, its velvety texture immediately captivates, with the characteristic elegance of Sauvignon Blanc. It offers a structured and persistent experience, where the harmony between acidity, alcohol, and sweetness stands out. José Pariente Apasionado is a light sweet wine with expressive aromas of exotic fruit, vegetal notes, and mineral undertones. The palate is refined, smooth, and velvety, showcasing all the typical characteristics of a Sauvignon Blanc in its sweetest expression.
2017 Apasionado de José Pariente 2017 is a sweet, aromatic and fresh white wine. This vintage stands out for its intense aroma, notes of tropical fruit and a floral and elegant touch. In the mouth, it is silky and very long.
2013 It exhibits a refined and crisp character. Persistent, well-structured, and harmonious, with a robust intensity.
