About Arbossar

Arbossar is a red wine crafted by the winery Terroir al Límit in the D.O. Priorat. Terroir al Límit is a small winery located in the quaint village of Torroja, which produces characterful wines based on meticulous agriculture and winemaking. Founded by Dominik A. Huber, a Catalan of German origin, it reveals a more minimalist, delicate, and profound facet of Priorat than we are accustomed to.

Arbossar is a single-varietal wine made from the Cariñena grape, using grapes sourced from 90-year-old vines situated in the highest and coolest part of Priorat. These vines are planted on steep slopes, known as costers in Priorat, on slate and granite soils.
It is produced with minimal intervention to achieve the utmost expression of the terroir. The wine is made through whole-cluster fermentation, followed by 8 months of vinification and aging in cement. It is bottled by gravity, without clarification or filtration.

Arbossar is a highly expressive red wine from Priorat, with very limited production.

2021

Terroir al Límit Arbossar 2021 is a concentrated red wine that displays fragrant red and blue fruit nuances, accompanied by captivating notes of rosemary and sage. On the palate, a fresh, crisp fruit emerges that stands out for its elegance and concentration, offering almost immaculate purity. Its lively acidity and lingering finish culminate in an exceptional tasting experience.
2020

Arbossar 2020 is a supple red wine brimming with aromas of dark and red berries, hints of violets, and undertones of forest floor. On the palate, it is smooth, vibrant, and well-rounded. This wine features delicate tannins, devoid of any rough edges, and a sweet, balsamic progression. The finish is prolonged and sophisticated.
2013 Robust and flavorsome, expansive with a smooth delivery. Harmoniously balanced, it features sweet tannins. The finish is enduring and persistent.

Cherry red with bluish highlights. Luminous with a deep intensity.

Of considerable intensity, it reveals notes of ripe fruit and an appealing minerality. Herbaceous and balsamic undertones, with hints of mint.
2011 Powerful, broad and bulky attack. Dense and warm texture on the palate. Noticeable tannins and a magnificent acidity that promises a long life ahead. Long and very, very persistent finish.

Dark picota cherry colour with purplish reflections. Abundant tears on the glass.

Very expressive and intense nose. Aromas of ripe red fruit, fine woods, subtle spices and fresh balsamic notes. Deep mineral overtones. Complex and enjoyable, worth lingering upon.
