About Atrium Merlot

Atrium Merlot is a red wine from Penedès prepared by Torres. It is a varietal Merlot.

Atrium Merlot goes through a fermentation process once the harvest is complete.

Subsequently, Atrium Merlot remains in new Nevers French oak barrels for 6 months. The name of this wine goes back to ancient Roman houses. The atrium was the room in which music was played, they ate and enjoyed the pleasure of wine.

Torres is possibly the most internationally known Spanish winery. It exports to over 140 countries and is located in Vilafranca del Penedès, in Barcelona.

2019

Atrium Merlot 2019 is a robust red wine. Olfactorily, it is highly fragrant and sophisticated, exhibiting hints of fruit and orange peel. On the palate, it is well-rounded, with delicate tannins. It has a lingering finish.
2018 Atrium Merlot 2018 is an eloquent red wine boasting profound scents of ripe dark berries complemented by a balsamic undertone. On the palate, it reveals an expansive, indulgent, and utterly captivating profile. The wine is graced with delicate, sweet tannins and a velvety progression. The finish unfurls hints of vanilla coupled with delicate strokes of oak.
2013 Spacious and greedy, with excellent sweet tannins. It shows hints of leather and vanilla. The final perseverance is sensual.

Intense, with fruity notes.
2012 Full and appetising on the palace. Excellent, sweet tannins and fruity notes from its aroma. Once warmed up, rich nuances of leather and vanilla are exuded leading towards a persistent and sensual finish.

A very dark cherry colour.

Intense, with notes of very ripe fruit and jam with truffle and bay leaves in the background.
2011 This red wine shows a wide and mellow palate with excellent sweet tannins, which open up and give way to the fruitiest aromas. Once the wine is aerated, the rich nuances of leather and spices appear and evolve towards a long and persistent finish.

Dark cherry colour with violet reflections. Clean and very bright.

Mellow and seductive nasal aromas with a medium-high intensity. Its notes of very ripe fruit and jam (prunes and blueberries) stand out on a background of earthy notes and aromatic herbs.
