About Torres Gran Coronas Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva

Gran Coronas is a red wine from the Penedès prepared by Torres. This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) and Tempranillo (15%).

Gran Coronas uses Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, planted by Miguel A. Torres in the Penedès over 40 years ago. This was a bold and innovative project that gave excellent results.

The grapes, after being picked, they go through a process of destemming. Subsequently, they are macerated cold.

Gran Corona's wort is fermented at controlled temperatures. Ultimately, the wine is aged in oak barrels for about 12 months.

The Torres family name has been linked to winemaking and the Penedès since the eighteenth century. Following the philosophy of harmonizing modern oenology and wine traditions, Torres has managed to become one of the most famous Spanish wineries.

Torres Gran Coronas Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2020 unfolds a spectrum of aromas with highlights of cherry and redcurrant, interwoven with mineral undertones and a delicate whisper of licorice and mint. On the palate, it exhibits a robust structure and a flavor that mirrors its fruity bouquet, yet with a nuanced spicy presence. This red wine reveals a depth of flavors that promise to enchant with every sip.
2011 Sweet and full bodied. Velvety tannins and a long and elegant finish. Liquorice aftertaste.

Cherry red with rusty hues.

Characteristic touches of aging from oak and hints of mint and spices. Aromas of plum and cherry.
2010 Appetising and voluptuous with velvety tannins. Toasted notes are felt again at retro-olfaction, with a long and elegant finish and a liquorice aftertaste.

An intense ruby colour with light terracotta tones.

Complex. Typical notes from its ageing in barrels prevail accompanied by minty and spicy notes, with ripe cherry and plum jam in the background.
