About Barco del Corneta Cucú

Barco del Corneta has not only captivated palates; it has also set a new benchmark with its unique interpretation of verdejo. Now, more approachable and with a fresher profile, Barco del Corneta Cucú emerges, another white wine that will not leave you indifferent. 
 
La Seca (in Valladolid) and Aldeanueva del Codonal (in Segovia) are the two locations where the origins of this regional and organic wine can be found, fermenting with native yeasts. In this area, where the continental climate prevails, the vines are situated between 750 and 850 metres above sea level on siliceous sands and clays that impart a delightful acidity to the grapes, resulting in a fresh and light wine. To achieve this, the production process must be meticulously careful, always based on minimal intervention, allowing the wine to follow its own path. In this regard, human intervention in Barco del Corneta Cucú is limited to manual harvesting, direct pressing (conducted swiftly), and transferring to stainless steel tanks where the must begins to ferment spontaneously.
 
To complete the process, a portion of Barco del Corneta Cucú is aged for less than a year on its lees in stainless steel tanks and barrels, until it is clarified and bottled.
