About Binifadet Blanc

Binifadet Blanc is a white wine produced by Bodegas Binifadet in Sant Lluís, V.T. Illa de Menorca.

 

In 1979, Carlos Anglésdecided to plant his first vineyard in the Island of Menorca with several varieties of vines. The experience of several harvests led him to expand the vineyards with those vines that best adapted to the climatology of the island. After years of dedication to the production of wine for his family, and after building a new winery, in May of 2004, his first wines were released on the market.

Currently, Bodegas Binifadet (name of the farm acquired in 2001) works with 12 hectares planted in the south of the island, where the tidal calcareous soil is covered by a clayey layer. The climate is clearly Mediterranean, with scarce rainfall concentrated in autumn, with exposure to the intense winds that affect the island, especially the Tramontane.

 

Binifadet Blanc is a young wine made from Chardonnay, selected from the best plots of the Binifadet farm.

Harvest is performed by hand. Once the harvest arrives at the winery, it ferments in stainless steel deposits at controlled temperature, 17°C. It does not go through malolactic fermentation. Before bottling, the wine goes through cold stabilisation.

 

2021

Binifadet Blanc 2021 is a complex, tasty and fresh wine. A delicious blend between the aromas of ripe white fruit of the variety and the flowery and Mediterranean forest notes, characteristic of the area.



 

 
2010 Good attack and a tasty and smooth mid palate. Very fresh wine, with well balanced notes of tropical fruits and citrus. Long finish with a good persistence. A very nice and fresh easy-drinking wine.

Lovely clean and bright pale yellow colour.

White wine marked by the typical varietal aromas, which gains in strength and power after being aerated. It shows an important load of fruit with the typical notes of tropical fruit and citrus which appear on first nosing. Background of nice herbal notes and light buttery touches.
2009 In the mouth is wide, with a fresh and pleasant game between acid and sweet tastes. Presents an aroma of mouth out of the common leaving a long finish with silky.

Golden yellow with slight greenish reflections.

Presents primary aromas of the Chardonnay variety very marked: banana, pineapple, tropical, accompanied by notes of dried fruits like figs and apricots. Light hints of ripe fruit such as pear and peach jam.
