About Camorali Pierluigi Il Nicchio Frizzante

When Leonardo da Vinci was composing his “Codex Leicester”, he could scarcely have imagined that centuries later, his fascination with water and geology would inspire stories as diverse as that of wine. In that 72-page manuscript, Leonardo delved into the mysteries of water: its movement, the erosion of the earth, the formation of mountains and rivers, the connection between the sea and the atmosphere. His reflections on nature still resonate today in places as special as the hills of the Geological Nature Reserve of Piacenza (Emilia-Romagna), where each stone seems to hold an ancient tale.

It is precisely there that the project of Camorali Pierluigi was born, today continued with passion by Tiziano and Matteo. The Camorali family has a long history linked to the world of wine, but these two young oenologists have injected new energy and enthusiasm, focusing their work on wines that honestly express the identity and terroir of their land. Their philosophy is clear: sustainability, minimal intervention, and a profound respect for indigenous varieties.

The perfect example of this philosophy is their Camorali Pierluigi Il Nicchio Frizzante, a wine that translates the geology and history of the territory into aromas and bubbles. The foundation of this balanced sparkling wine is barbera and bonarda grapes, cultivated under optimal conditions in Emilia-Romagna, where the vines sink their roots deeply into limestone soils. After a manual harvest, the grapes are carefully selected and gently pressed. The must first ferments in stainless steel tanks to preserve its freshness and then, when the density and residual sugar are just right, it is bottled without adding liqueur de tirage or extra sugar, generating pressure and natural bubbles.

Camorali Pierluigi Il Nicchio Frizzante is a journey to the heart of Emilia-Romagna. A vibrant and elegant sparkling wine, perfect for discovering the character of the Piacenza terroir and toasting to authenticity, nature, and tradition.
