Cascina Delle Rose Tre Stelle is an organic, barrel-aged red wine made with the Nebbiolo variety by Cascina Delle Rose in the prestigious DOCG Barbaresco, in Piedmont (Italy).
Cascina Delle Rose is a 5-hectare estate in Barbaresco where vineyards, hazelnut trees, forests and many rose bushes grow together, hence the name “rose house”. This is a family winery that has devoted itself wholeheartedly to viticulture for 4 generations, but it was not until 1974 when Giovanna Sobrino took over and began making her own wines. As one of the first women to run a winery in Laghe, she became a local pioneer producing delicious and elegant Nebbiolo wines.
The grapes used to make Cascina Delle Rose Tre Stelle come from vines planted in blue marl, limestone and compact earth soils. They are cultivated using ecological agriculture with minimal use of copper and sulphur to have as little impact on the environment as possible.
In the winery, the Cascina Delle Rose Tre Stelle destemmed grapes ferment spontaneously with skins for three weeks with frequent pump overs in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in 10-20 hl Slavic botti for 18-24 months. Finally, it is bottled unfiltered and without clarifying and rests in the winery for a while longer.
Made in one of the most exceptional parts of the DOCG Barbaresco, in Piedmont, Cascina Delle Rose Tre Stelle is a red wine with great character and undeniable finesse.
