About Celler Sanromà El Nexe

When Eduard Sanromà pursued his studies in oenology and uncovered the secrets behind the vineyards that his family had cultivated for generations, his vision became clear. He did not wish to merely sell grapes in bulk, as had always been done at home. He wanted to take a step further. He aspired to bottle the landscape.
Thus, Celler Sanromà was born, the product of a lineage of four generations of viticulturists and a courageous decision to craft wines of their own, with identity, with territory, with soul.

However, the beginnings were challenging. When Eduard began implementing green pruning and leaving grapes on the vine to achieve more precise ripening, his grandfather and father were alarmed: "How can you discard good grapes?" they would say. Despite the initial misunderstanding, gradually, they started to believe in his project. Because what seemed like madness... began to make sense in every glass.

With his education complete and a very clear philosophy, the Sanromà-Calaf family embarks on a new chapter: transforming the grapes from their own estates into wines capable of conveying the territory with honesty and emotion. A way to turn the terroir into a liquid experience.

Celler Sanromà El Nexe is a perfect embodiment of this vision. A wine that is a true statement of intent. 100% sumoll, an indigenous variety from Camp de Tarragona, Alt Camp, and Baix Penedès (Catalonia). Fermented with its own lees, aged for 6 months in chestnut barrels and an additional 6 months in the bottle. 

Celler Sanromà El Nexe is a wine that is not just consumed... it is felt. A genuine connection between generations. A bridge between the vineyard and the glass.
