About Celler Sanromà L'Incorrecte

“Incorrecto” is a term coined by those who fear you doing as you please. What some label as “wrong”, others deem authentic, entertaining, and spirited. It applies to ideas that don't fit within the confines of books, and to individuals who prefer to heed their instincts rather than the teacher. In essence, everything that is rebellious, memorable, and enjoyable is often considered “incorrect”.

And when it comes to wine, no one embodies this spirit better than Eduard Sanromà, oenologist and owner of Celler Sanromà in Vila-Rodona (Catalonia). After four generations of family farming, Eduard decided to forge his own path, crafting wines with minimal intervention that express the land and his personal philosophy.

The clearest example is Celler Sanromà L’Incorrecte. A white wine made from 100% brisada parellada, natural, with skins, no added sulfites, and a boldness that breaks all the rules. This wine earns its name from all that has been unlearned and is, without a doubt, the one that best identifies Eduard.

When he graduated from university, he was told that parellada was “the poor sister of cava”: too weak, insignificant, impossible to macerate on its own… Well, L’Incorrecte proves them wrong. Vines planted in 2004 in Vila-Rodona, organically cultivated and hand-harvested, ferment with skins and some with stems, using wild yeasts at controlled temperatures, and rest for 2 months on their lees. 

Celler Sanromà L’Incorrecte is a vibrant, laid-back wine that challenges the established system. Fresh, surprising, and with character, it is evidence that sometimes doing the “incorrect” thing is the best way to succeed.
