About Cénit

Cénit comes from Viñas del Cénit's vineyards, an estate that mainly consists of old vines planted in a low-vine plantation system. The vines are 35 years old, with a small plot containing grapes of between 150 and 180 years old. The most shallow part of the soil is poor in gravel and sand, with a base mainly composed of clay. Bodegas Viñas del Cénit painstakingly supervise the selection of the primary material, analysing the bunches grape by grape, vineyard by vineyard, by hand. For the youngest red wines, with short ageing, the fermentations take place in closed stainless steel deposits. Cénit is a young crianza Tempranillo single-varietal, classified as a "vino de calidad de la tierra de Zamora", and has been aged for 16 months in French oak barrels.

2006 This red wine has lots of volume and fruit, with a refreshing and long-lasting acidity, and surprising tannins. A very good wine. We recommend decanting a while before drinking.

A ruby red-maroon colour, high robe, with intense tears on the glass.

Complex and very well integrated aromas of ripe red and black fruit, balanced with aromas from its ageing such as balsamic and roasted notes (toast, caramel, toasted dried fruit...).
