About Cèrvoles Blanc

Cérvoles Blanc is a barrel-fermented white wine made with the Chardonnay and Macabeo varieties by Cérvoles in the D.O. Costers del Segre (Catalonia). 
 
The Cérvoles project was set up by the Cusiné family in 1997 at the foot of the Sierra de la Llena, the natural border between the Priorat region and the Sierra del Montsant. With a focus on careful and meticulous processes, they make use of the latest technology in every area and enhance the quality of each of their wines. 
 
Cérvoles Blanc comes from 70 year old Macabeo and 30 year old Chardonnay vines planted on clay-loam textured soils with the occasional gravelly substrate. They are cultivated using ecological agriculture and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness. 
 
Cérvoles Blanc undergoes alcoholic fermentation in new French oak barrels. The wine is then aged on the lees in fine-grained French oak barrels for 8 months with periodic bâtonnage during the first months.
 
Voluminous, intense and fresh, Cérvoles Blanc is one of the leading whites from Costers del Segre.
 
2019 Cérvoles Blanc 2019 is a creamy white wine with aromas of white flowers, herbaceous notes and hints of citrus and aniseed. On the palate it is voluminous, glyceric and fresh. It has a pleasant mid-palate and a long lasting finish with hints of vanilla
2007 In the mouth, it fills us with feelings of volume and glycerides which blend with the excellent acidity that adds freshness and vividness. Extraordinary and pleasant persistence, impacts of honey with lemon and vanilla in the aftertaste.

Pale yellow to green and high transparency.

On the nose is subtle with fresh aromas, flashes of white flowers, sage and anise. Dominated at the start lime and other citrus green. When aereated we percieve disclose notes of fresh tropical fruit and green melon flavors in addition to its typical citrus fragances (grapefruit and mandarins), with light notes of smoked.
