About Château Pibarnon Rosé

Château Pibarnon Rosé is aMourvèdre and Cinsault rosé from the Appellation Bandol Contrôlée produced by Chateau de Pibarnon in Bandol, Provence.

Château Pibarnon is a winery founded in 1977. It currently owns some 50 hectares of vineyard and has farmed organically since 2003.

The vineyards for Château Pibarnon Rosé face southeast, towards the sea, and the summit reaches 300 metres. The soils are clayey and silty, with limestone and originated in the Triassic period. The harvest is performed manually into 20 kg boxes.

Château Pibarnon Rosé is made with Mourvèdre and Cinsault. The Cinsault is pressed when it arrives in the cellar and the Mourvèdre is vatted and is drawn off from the tank after a few hours of having the must in contact with the skins. The must ferments at a controlled temperature of 22 ºC for 20 days. Lastly, the wine is aged in tanks for 6 months before bottling.

Château Pibarnon Rosé is a fresh and fruity wine; a rosé suitable for drinking at any time of the year due to its versatility in pairing with a host of dishes.
2017 Château Pibarnon Rosé 2017 is a complex and floral wine with hints of liqueur and minerals in which hints of citrus can also be detected. On the palate it is rich and silky with a fresh and elegant finish. It has a good structure, texture and body.
