About Château Romassan Coeur de Grain

Château Romassan Coeur de Grain is a rosé wine from AOC Bandol made from Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Grenache grapes and produced by Domaines Ott in Château Romassan.

Domaines Ott was founded in 1896 by an Alsatian agronomist who settled in Provence. Domaines Ott has three properties in Provence, two of which are classified as Cru Classé. The winery has always been known for the great respect it shows for nature. In 2004 it joined the prestigious brand Louis Roeder to jointly produce great wines.

The vineyards for Château Romassan Coeur de Grain are cultivated with the greatest respect for the environment. They do not use any chemical treatment or intensive production, but rather only natural methods are used to cultivate the vines. Their soils are limestone, sandstone and marl from the late marine Cretaceous period.

In the 1930s René Ott, son of the founder, designed a characteristic bottle in the form of a Roman amphora jar to differentiate his wine from the rest, and this is still used today. Thanks to its philosophy, the raw material available and the techniques used, Domaines Ottsucceeds in producing one of the best rosé wines in the world.

Château Romassan Coeur de Grain 2021 is a crisp rosé wine suffused with scents of stone fruit and citrus, complemented by nuanced hints of spice. On the palate, it is expansive, luscious, and sophisticated, marked by a persistent acidity and a lengthy, delightful finish.
2018 Château Romassan Coeur de Grain 2018 has fruity aromas, notes of citrus, passion fruit, white flowers, etc. It is elegant and complex, with aniseed touches and subtle spicy notes. On the palate it is smooth, lively and balanced. We receive an aftertaste of fruity aromas and peach, accompanied by notes of citrus, grapefruit and licorice. It is pleasantly persistent.
