Château Siaurac 2025 is a red wine exuding elegance and depth. As it approaches the nose, captivating notes of ripe cherries and blackcurrants unfurl, with a subtle hint of violets, imparting a charming floral air. On the palate, one experiences a silky texture that envelops the mouth, unveiling layers of juicy red fruit and gentle nuances of sweet spices, perfectly balanced with a refreshing acidity. The tannins are fine and well-integrated, providing a remarkable structure. Recommended for its perfect balance between fruit and structure, and a long-lasting finish that leaves a memorable impression.

About Château Siaurac

Penelope, wife of Odysseus and queen of Ithaca, is renowned in Greek mythology for her fidelity and cunning. During the twenty years of her husband's absence, she faced with patience, loyalty, and intelligence the pressure of numerous suitors who wished to marry her, assuming Odysseus was dead. With the same integrity, Penelope Godefroy, technical director of Château Siaurac, has firmly established sustainable practices and biodynamic techniques to maximize the potential of the finest terroirs in Bordeaux, France. Responsible for the creation of other great wines in prestigious estates such as Le Prieuré, Latour, and Vray Croix de Gay, Penelope has quickly made a name for herself as the grand dame of biodynamics. Any terroir she oversees becomes organic. Thus, at Château Siaurac, she offers us friendly, charming wines with great structure.

This historic estate, encompassing 46 hectares of meticulously tended vineyards and boasting a legacy dating back to the 19th century in the renowned appellation of Lalande-de-Pomerol in Bordeaux, proudly presents its eponymous wine Château Siaurac. A blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, and malbec from 35-year-old vines planted on clay and sandy soil, cultivated according to biodynamic principles and hand-harvested at the optimal moment of ripeness. In the winery, the grapes are sorted, destemmed, and crushed to initiate fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Afterwards, the wine ages for 12-14 months in French oak barrels, 20% of which are new.

The product of a young star winemaker tasked with revitalizing some of the finest estates along the banks of the Garonne River in Bordeaux, Château Siaurac is a great wine that honours the good reputation of this estate and its winemaker. A masterpiece that Penelope Godefroy crafts year after year with unwavering commitment and an innovative vision to transform her vineyards into jewels of biodynamics.
