Chiara Condello Tre Vigne Sangiovese is an ecological, wood-aged red wine produced by Chiara Condello in the DOC Romagna Sangiovese Predappio, in the Emilia-Romagna region (Italy).

Chiara Condello is a young and enterprising winemaker who is following the family tradition of making wines in Predappio, in Emilia-Romagna. With 7 hectares of land, there are vines, olive trees and forests growing in perfect harmony. With a clear focus on maximum respect in the vineyard and winery, she makes some of the most exciting wines using the native Sangiovese variety.

Chiara Condello Tre Vigne Sangiovese comes from old vines planted in clay-calcareous soils and calcareous sandstone at an altitude of up to 350 metres above sea level. These are 50 year old vines that are ecologically and sustainably cultivated and then harvested manually at the optimum point of ripeness.

In the winery, Chiara Condello Tre Vigne Sangiovese is vinified with minimal intervention. Firstly, the whole grapes are destemmed but not crushed and then macerated for 25-30 days. Fermentation takes place spontaneously in stainless steel tanks and open wooden vats with native yeasts. Finally the wine ages for 12 months in 3500-litre Slavonian oak foudres.

Chiara Condello Tre Vigne Sangiovese is a wine with so much character and depth that it gives the Sangiovese variety the status it deserves, right at the top.

Chiara Condello Tre Vigne Sangiovese 2018 is a concentrated red wine with intense aromas of red fruit, floral notes and hints of spice. On the palate it is broad, clean and enveloping. Although rich, this wine is not overwhelming thanks to its beautiful balance of acidity and tannins.
