About Cims de Porrera Vi de Vila Blanc

Cims de Porrera Vi de Vila Blanc is a white wine produced by the winery Cims de Porrera, in Porrera, D.O.Q. Priorat.

Cims de Porrera is a peculiar winery. A winery managed by the Pérez Ovejero family, which makes its wines in the facilities of the Agricultural Cooperative of the small town of Porrera. The winery was created around the idea of paying a fair price to the cooperative partners for the grapes they cultivate.
They have vineyards that are mostly over 70 years old, planted on rough terrain with slopes of up to 60% and with very low yields. There are a total of 54 hectares of vineyard, cared for by 15 wine growers of the area.

Cims de Porrera Vi de Vila Blanc is a white wine made with White Grenache, White Picapoll, Pedro Ximénez and Maccabeu from vineyards located in the municipality of Porrera, planted on the characteristic soil of the area, the licorella (slate).
After a manual harvest with a selection of the grapes in the vineyard and in the winery, half of them ferment in cement vats and the other half, in new barrels. After the fermentation, this wine is aged for 9 months in cement vats and an other part, in 54-liter glass demijohns.

2015 Cims de Porrera Vi de Vila Blanc 2015 is a profiled white wine, deep and mineral. This vintage stands out for the great balance between freshness and maturity, resulting in a very honest wine on the nose and very round, without losing character in the mouth.
