About Clos du Rouge Gorge Femme Soleil

Clos du Rouge Gorge Femme Soleil is a biodynamic white wine made with macabeo et garnacha gris from the VDP des Côtes Catalans produced by Clos du Rouge Gorge.

Clos du Rouge Gorge is the small winery run by the young vigneron Cyril Fhal that was founded in 2002. Cyril works his 6 hectares of vineyards, aged from 50 to 100 years old, biodynamically, without using synthetic products, and always vinifies with native yeasts according to the philosophy of minimal intervention, accompanying the processes and allowing the grape and terroir to express themselves fully and finely .

The vineyards for Clos du Rouge Gorge Femme Soleil are planted on slate soils and are located in Monter and in Latour-de-France. They are harvested manually and the bunches are pressed directly on arriving in the winery, without destemming. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out with native yeasts in tanks and in oak barrels, and the wine is aged on lees for about 6 months in these same tanks. Only some 3,500 bottles of this craft wine are made.

Clos du Rouge Gorge Femme Soleil is a pure, tense and fresh white with excellent fruit.

2017 Clos du Rouge Gorge Hors Champ The Femme Soleil 2017 is a fresh wine, with aromas of pear and apple, and a palate that is slightly salty and with a medium-high acidity. It is a voluminous white that is unctuous and persistent.
