About Clos Figueres

Clos Figueres is a high quality red wine from the D.O. Priorat. One of the greatest wines of this region, internationally recognized.

Clos Figueres is produced with Grenache and Carignan grapes from old vines of other 80 years old.

The harvest is manual and the grapes then ferment in open French oak barrels of 300 and 500 l. They macerate with the skins on. Finally, the wine is aged for 13 months in new and twice used French oak barrels.

It is recommended decanting this wine at least 2-3 hours before serving.

This wine has great ageing capacity. Can be kept for the next 16-20 years.
An elegant Priorat wine.

2015 Clos Figueras 2015 is a powerful, structured and elegant red wine. A balanced vintage distinguished on the nose and voluminous in the mouth. Aromas of ripe red and black fruit, with spicy and toasted notes on a marked mineral background. In the mouth, it is unctuous, ample and very expressive, with a long and persistent finish.
2008 This new vintage shows a tasty, fleshy and very light and persistent mid palate. A great red wine.  After its soft but bulky attack, it shows a high load of fruity notes. It is fleshy, tasty and shows an excellent, very well integrated and refreshing acidity and powerful tannic sensations. At retro-olfaction, abundant roasted and mineral aromas are released.

Dark cherry colour with violet reflections. Clean and bright wine with an intense high robe. Its dense tears stain the glass.

Clos Figueras 2008 shows high intensity nasal aromas, which gain in expressiveness as it gets aerated. Before swirling the glass, the aromas of fruit, red berries and some hints of ripe black fruit stand out along with some intense toasted notes. Gradually, some deep balsamic and mint notes appear, with light spicy notes, both hot and sweet, on a background with a marked minerality.
2006 Elegant, tasty, very long and wide. A great wine. Its wide and powerful attack gives way to fresh, ripe red fruit and good toasted notes. The sweet spices and the balsamic touches round out its tasty flavours. Its texture is velvety and meaty. An excellent and lively good acidity and well-integrated tannins are noticed. Very long and very persistent finish which leaves fruity and smoky nuances.

Intense and deep ruby â??â??red colour with maroon edges. High layer. Clean and bright wine with abundant glyceric tears than stain the glass.

Perfeclty balanced intense aromas. Its fresh notes of ripe red fruit are felt along with its notes of black fruits interspearsed with some touches of good wood and its toasted and smoked nuances. When swirling the glass, the wine gains in expression and many spicy, vanilla, chocolate, tobacco and creamy notes are also felt. Its marked background has very pure mineral notes, touches of undergrowth and balsamic hints.
