About Cullerot

Celler del Roure Cullerot is a white wine from the D.O. Valencia produced by Celler del Roure. It is a blend of white grape varieties such as verdil, pedro ximénez, macabeo, malvasía, tortosí, and others.

The grapes used for Celler del Roure Cullerot are sourced from old vines located on various plots situated on hillsides owned by the winery. The soils are low in organic matter.

In the winery, a destemming process is carried out first. A portion of the grapes undergoes pneumatic pressing - 80% - while the remainder macerates with their skins for approximately five days.

The must of Celler del Roure Cullerot then undergoes a natural cold settling process and subsequently ferments in buried clay amphorae - 60% - and stainless steel tanks - 40%.

Finally, Celler del Roure Cullerot ages in the same clay amphorae on its lees for about 5-6 months. This aging process, reviving ancient winemaking traditions, imparts a highly complex and unique character to Cullerot.

Celler del Roure was established in 1996. This small family-run winery, which meticulously tends to every inch of its land, also looks towards the future as it collaborates on various projects with the Universitat Politècnica de València.
