About De Moor Le Vendangeur Masqué Caravan

De Moor Le Vendangeur Masqué Caravan is a natural, wood-aged white wine made with the Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Aligoté varieties by Alice & Olivier De Moor in Chablis (Vin de France).

The Alice & Olivier De Moor winery was set up in 1995 with the aim of leaving behind any technology that could dilute the natural expression of the wines. This is a young couple with lots of energy who work in the vineyard and the winery with a natural sensitivity that allows them to produce bright and lively wines.

De Moor Le Vendangeur Masqué Caravan comes from vines planted in 1989 that have been certified organic since the 2008 harvest. They are manually harvested when they reach optimum ripeness.

In the winery, each variety used to make De Moor Le Vendangeur Masqué Caravan ferments separately and spontaneously with native yeasts. The wine is then aged in foudres for 12 months and finally bottled without clarifying or filtering and only adding minimal sulphites.

De Moor Le Vendangeur Masqué Caravan is a cuvée of different varieties from different regions, which is where it gets the title Vin de France. A selection of white grapes made into a wine full of energy and vitality.

 

2019

De Moor Le Vendangeur Masqué Caravan 2019 is a white wine with luscious green apple on the nose and a herbaceous background. On the palate it is powerful, crisp and refreshing. A medium-bodied, firm wine with a seductively acidic finish.
