About Disznókö Tokaji Late Harvest

Disznókö Tokaji Late Harvest is a single-variety Furmint sweet white wine produced by the Disznókö winery, in the Tokaj-Hegyalja region, Hungary.

Disznókö Tokaji Late Harvest is made with a minimum amount of Furmint variety grapes that have been attacked by Botrytis cinerea and with clusters of the same variety that are harvested late, which results in an ideal wine to get to know the great sweet wines of Tokaj. To make the wine, the grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. It then ages for 12 months in second and third use oak barrels, which allows the variety’s full essence and freshness to be captured and preserved.

Disznókö is a legendary winery in the Tokaj-Hegyalja region that is known for its noble rot sweet wines as well as the very high quality standards, and the merging of tradition and modernity. In 1992 the winery opened facilities where they combine cutting-edge winemaking practices and ancient traditions from the region.

2017 Disznókö Tokaji Late Harvest is a sweet white wine with aromas of wild flowers and fruits like peaches and plums. It also reveals citrus and honey nuances. On the palate it is fresh and velvety, with the sweet and pleasant touches that a late harvest provides, whilst holding onto its lively character.
