Its exclusive location—perched on the highest slope of a hillside and in close proximity to the Beine Lake—makes it one of the areas with the purest limestone soils. Of Jurassic origin, its composition of fossilized shells bestows an unmistakable mineral character upon any wine.
 
Situated at the very heart of the appellation lies the winery where the Bouchard brothers finalize the creation of Domaine de l'Enclos Chablis 1er Cru Beauroy. At this juncture, the work must be executed with precision, striving not to undermine the efforts and labor that the 19 employees have invested in the vineyard.
