Each harvest is distinct, and every bottle of wine narrates its own tale. The vineyards, the grapes, the fermentation process — each stage is a captivating ballet, ensnaring those who witness it in its enchantment. This is precisely the journey taken by Cyril & Fabien Boisard, two siblings not originally from a wine-producing lineage, who fell in love with viticulture after their parents acquired a quaint estate in the town of Bourgueil, in the Loire region of France. Seven years later, they fully immersed themselves in crafting natural and genuine wines under the label Domaine du Mortier.

As true ambassadors of their terroir, Domaine du Mortier Brain de Folie Chenin Blanc is a white wine made from the chenin blanc grape variety. Vines aged six years stem from 13 hectares of vineyards with predominantly gravel soils. The cultivation is organic, incorporating biodynamic practices and attentive to the various phases of the moon. In the winery, the grapes are destemmed and pressed directly into barrels where they ferment with indigenous yeasts. Subsequently, the wine matures in cement tanks for six months before being bottled unclarified, unfiltered, and with a minimal addition of sulfur.

Natural, biodynamic, and organic, Domaine du Mortier Brain de Folie Chenin Blanc is a white wine that exquisitely expresses the unique terroir of a privileged area in the Loire. A singular terroir that once captivated the Boisard brothers and today continues to charm all enthusiasts of natural wine.
