About Domaine Vincent Pinard Cuvée Florès

Florent and Clément were born into the world of wine. Located in the prestigious village of Bué, 3 km from Sancerre (Loire), they were involved in vine growing and winemaking from a very young age. So it is not surprising that both studied viticulture and enology. Since they took over running the family winery, the influence of their father Vincent Pinard has been vital and their strong position among white wine makers is surely down to a winemaking legacy of more than 20 generations combined with the innovative contributions of each generation.

The key lies in expressing the best of the different terroirs spread over their 17 hectares of vineyards. To do this, brothers Florent and Clément take a natural and organic approach with their work. In their Domaine Vincent Pinard Cuvée Florès wine, the Sauvignon Blanc grapes come from vines aged about 60 years old grown on caillottes (Sancerrois limestone).  Most of the work in the vineyard is done by hand, including the harvest, and once the grapes reach the winery, fermentation and aging takes place in tanks and the wine ages on its own lees.

Domaine Vincent Pinard Cuvée Florès is a far from the simple Sancerres produced by so many others. A wine that, as the name suggests, is a very floral, complex and elegant cuvée. A very good demonstration of all that the great wines of the AOC Sancerre are capable of offering.

2019

Domaine Vincent Pinard Cuvée Florès 2019 is an aromatic white wine with lovely fragrances of ripe white fruits, citrus notes and herbal hints. The palate is crisp, lively and pure. A wine with a rich texture and a long finish.
2018

Domaine Vincent Pinard Cuvée Florès 2018 is an aromatic white wine exuding floral fragrances, citrus undertones, and subtle toasted hints. On the palate, it is delicate, crisp, and exquisitely graceful. This superb, classically styled wine boasts a mature and succulent acidity, culminating in a finish with chalky reminiscences.
