About Ébano 6

Ébano 6 Roble is a red wine from D.O. Ribera del Duero produced by Ébano Viñedos y Bodegas, a winery located in Gumiel de Mercado y Quintana del Pidio.
This wine is a single variety Tempranillo from 43 hectares of vines with an average age of 14-25 years old; 22 hectares of which are in trellis and the remaining 21 are free standing.
The harvest is done manually and the grapes are transported in 17kg crates in order to preserve maximum quality.
As for the production, the grapes, after being selected on a conveyor belt, are crushed and de-stemmed. The maceration and alcoholic fermentation take place in stainless steel tanks for about 10 days at a controlled temperature (27-28ºC). Subsequently, a racking and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks takes place.
Finally, Ébano 6 Roble rests for six months in Bordeaux French oak barrels. After bottling, the wine rests in the bottle for at least two months prior to distribution.
2017 Ébano 6 2017 is a juicy and intense red wine. A good vintage that displays all its fruity character, with aromas of ripe red and black fruit, and with a very elegant toasted touch of aging. On the palate it is silky, lively and fresh.
2013 On the palate it has a good structure and volume. The wine is warm and fleshy. Fruity retronasal.

Intense picota red colour with purple edges.

On the nose there are ripe blackberry fruit aromas, black plum and strawberry plant with mineral and vegetal notes.
2011 Nice, bulky attack. Fresh on the palate with a good acidity. Medium-length finish with lots of fruit and toasted notes, more intense than in the nose.

A picota cherry colour with a violet rim and purple reflections. Clean and bright.

Medium-intensity. Powerful, ripe black fruit aromas stand out along with lightly toasted notes, spices and some herbal and balsamic touches.

2009 A nice and very tasty Ribera del Duero. Good, light and warm wine which gains in freshness as it goes through the palate. Abundant notes of fruit and a more noticeable toasted aromas.  Very nice but not very persistent finish.

Clean and bright red cherry colour with purple reflections and thin tears.

Intense aromas with marked and expressive notes of fruit mixed with expressive creamy toasted aromas, spices and a milky hint provided by the oak. Subtle herbal background.
2008

Good attack with a warm and very tasty mid palate. Lots of fruit is noticed on a delicate toasted background. Very fresh. Good finish but not very persistent.



Intense red colour with violet edges. Bright and glyceric.

Very good fruity intensity with red and black fruit aromas at centre stage along with notes of herbs and elegant toasted touches on a light spicy and milky background.

Great structure, fruity, warm, meaty and tender at once, offering a delicate sense of volume. Powerful clear fruity aftertaste.
