About El Perro Verde

El Perro Verde is a white wine from Rueda developed by Angel Lorenzo and his son Javier Cachazo in collaboration with Vila Viniteca. This is one of the Uvas Felices projects. This wine is a varietal Verdejo.

This wine comes from grapes from Rodillana, Bobadilla del Campo and "El Sotillo", located in the province of Valladolid. A quarter of the clusters come from each of the first two vinyards and the remaining half from the latter.

The harvest takes place in September. Once in the winery, the grapes are destemmed and squeezed. Subsequently, maceration occurs for twelve hours at a controlled temperature of 10 degrees. Finally, the wine is fermented at 18 ° C in stainless steel.

El Perro Verde 2023 is a Verdejo that dazzles with its straw yellow hue and golden glimmers. Ebullient and invigorating. El Perro Verde 2021 is a straw-yellow hued wine, pale and luminous, exuding a fragrant bouquet with notes of tropical fruits (mango, green pineapple), lemon, white blossoms, and fresh fennel. On the palate, it is silky and exceedingly enjoyable, with a delightful texture. Superbly balanced. The finish is prolonged, revealing a subtle hint of salinity.
2019

El perro verde 2019 is an aromatic white wine redolent with the scents of tropical and stone fruits, as well as citrus, complemented by the fragrance of white blossoms and hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is silky, crisp, and effervescent. An intense wine with a delightfully saline finish. 

 
2017 El Perro Verde 2017 is an aromatic white wine. In this excellent vintage, it has brought out all the aromatic potential of the Verdejo variety. A wine with a good, refreshing acidity that combines perfectly with the explosion of aromas.
2014 Fresh entry with good acidity. Bitter and intense notes with a persistent finish. The aftertaste is fruity and floral and herbal notes.

Pale lemon yellow and green accents. Scintillating and neat, a light tear.

Medium-high intensity, very clean and expressive. Fruity with menthol touches and citrus.
2013 On the palate, this white wine shows a fresh and quite bulky attack. It has a tasty mid palate, with a correct importance of fruit aromas, a good acidity and some bitter notes which provide it with an intense and quite persistent finish. It has a fruity aftertaste. Flower and aromatic herbs are felt at retro-olfaction.

Nice and pale lemon yellow colour with greenish reflections. Clean and very bright. It has thin and light tears.
