About Elvio Cogno Langhe Bianco Anas Cetta

Elvio Cogno Langhe Bianco Anas Cetta is a white wine made by Elvio Cogno with the Nascetta variety in the Italian DOC Langhe denomination in Piedmont.
 
Elvio Cogno is an experienced winemaker who, after leaving his job at the prestigious Marcarini winery in La Morra, acquired a historic estate to create his own wines. He has a total of 11 hectares surrounding a winery renowned for producing wines with a classic style and innovative spirit that perfectly express the main denominations of Piedmont. Now retired, Elvio has handed over the project to his daughter Nadia and son-in-law Valter Fissore.
 
Specifically, Elvio Cogno Langhe Bianco Anas Cetta is a white wine made with grapes that are only grown in Novello. These are recovered vines that are around 15 years old and planted at 350 metres above sea level. They are cultivated with the utmost respect, seeking organic balance and low yields. 
 
In the winery, once the Elvio Cogno Langhe Bianco Anas Cetta grapes have been carefully pressed, the resulting must ferments spontaneously with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Then the wine ages in steel on its own lees for a further 6 months. 
 
Elvio Cogno Langhe Bianco Anas Cetta is a tribute to Nascetta, an ancient grape variety that Elvio wanted to bring back into fashion among the younger generations. This white wine has a certain Mediterranean character that demonstrates the great mastery of the winemaker even in the production of white wines.

Elvio Cogno Langhe Bianco Anas Cetta 2020 is a finely crafted white wine. The bouquet is marked by its finesse and elegance, exuding intense scents of wildflowers, aromatic herbs, citrus fruits, and exotic produce. On the palate, it is exceptionally pleasing, featuring mineral and savory nuances. The finish is prolonged, with hints of acacia honey, sage, and rosemary.
2019 Elvio Cogno Langhe Bianco Anas Cetta 2019 is a defined white wine with citrus aromas, notes of aromatic herbs, acacia flowers and mineral hints. The palate is light, harmonious and creamy. A pleasant and very flavoursome wine that is easy to drink.
