About F de Fuentespina

F de Fuentespina is a red wine from the D.O Ribera del Duero produced by the Fuentespina winery, which is part of the Avelino Vegas group. This wine is made using only Tinto Fino grapes.

The grapes used for F de Fuentespina are taken from some of the oldest vineyards in the D.O Ribera del Duero. Grown without rush, as stated by the winery, this wine is only produced from the best vintages, when the harvest is excellent.

F de Fuentespina is then aged in French oak barrels from Allier and Nevers. It is a unique and special wine. As for the bottle, Fuentespina decided to make replicas of original Burgundy bottles blown in 1859, which are finished by hand as they were back then.


Avelino Vegas, founded in 1950, is a family buisness situated in Santiuste de San Juan Bautista. Currently the company oversees various wineries spanning over different wine making regions: Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Castilla y León, Cigales and La Rioja. The superb wines produced by the company are now enjoyed in over 35 countries. 

2013 F de Fuentespina 2013 is a powerful, complex and structured red wine. This vintage stands out in the nose for its balance between fruit and the notes of aging. On the palate it is voluminous, with good mouthfeel and a lingering and persistent finish.
2009 Robust and full-bodied, it features well-defined tannins. It boasts an impressive structure and a lingering finish, with a rich and velvety texture.

Cherry red with ruby edges.

Refined and graceful, with a pronounced intensity. It reveals spicy and toasted nuances layered over a delightful backdrop of toasted notes and black fruits.
