On the nose, predominant notes of dark fruits such as blackberries and plums are complemented by a subtle hint of spices, chiefly pepper and vanilla, imparted by its ageing. Similarly, in a cinematic script, Finca Rodma, a renowned winemaking family in the Ribera del Duero, crafts its wines by granting the fruit the prominence it deserves, with the aging process allowing the oak to play a supporting role, ensuring the tinta fina truly shines.
 
Thus, in their foundational wine Finca Rodma Selección, we encounter a wine brimming with fruitiness and seamlessly integrated oak. It is a single-varietal tinta fina from 30-year-old vines planted in sandy loam soil at an altitude of 650 metres above sea level. In the winery, the grapes undergo cold maceration at temperatures between 8 and 10 ºC to extract the grape's full organoleptic potential. Subsequently, the alcoholic fermentation is conducted at a low temperature, followed by a 30-day maceration. Finally, the wine matures for 12 months in French and American oak barrels. This process allows the wood to refine the tannins and enables the wine to exhibit its fruitiness in a delicate and silky manner.
 
As a fine Ribera del Duero, Finca Rodma Selección is a wine where the fruit and oak harmonise perfectly. A single-varietal where the fruit is showcased in all its glory thanks to the oak's secondary role.

Finca Rodma Selección 2019 is a concentrated red wine with lots of black fruit, vanilla and cinnamon notes and toasty hints. On the palate it is silky, complex and fine. A medium-bodied wine with good acidity, ripe tannins and a long, lingering finish.
