About Finca Valpiedra Reserva

Finca Valpiedra Reserva is a red wine from the Q.D.O. Rioja made of Tempranillo (94%), Graciano (3%) and Maturana Tinta (3%) grapes from Finca Valpiedra, a 80-hectare estate which is located in a meander of the Ebro river. This wine has been aged for 22 months in new French oak barrels. Limited production. It is an elegant, sophisticated and exclusive wine.

2015

Finca Valpiedra Reserva 2015 is a red wine with a deep cherry hue and cardinal-red rims. Its appearance is captivating, featuring dense, stained tears that glide slowly down the glass. On the nose, it is intense and intricate, showcasing a blend of red fruit aromas such as cherries and raspberries, along with dark fruits like blackberries, complemented by a mineral touch and subtle hints of wood, a result of its barrel aging. On the palate, it offers a smooth and voluminous texture, with a fine tannic structure that enhances its flavour, culminating in a long and pleasurable finish. This wine exhibits an elegant balance and remarkable concentration.                       
2008 In the initial stage of the taste, this wine provides an excellent softness and bulkiness, developing an extremely thin tannic structure which makes it tasty and appetising. The freshness provided by the Graciano grapes make it more balanced regarding the alcohol, showing a very long aftertaste and a very pleasant finish. At retro-olfaction, spiced, fruity and wooden notes are noticed again.

High intensity, cherry red colour with purplish edge. Abundant, dense and coloured tear.

High intensity, with an extremely complex and elegant aromatic nose, emphasizing the mineral notes and the red and black fruit. Reminiscences of incense. All this nuances are mixed with fine wooden notes from the French oak such as vanilla, cedar, Virginia tobacco and spices.
2006 This wine with a soft but wide and embracing attack, coats the mouth with notes of fruit and creamy wooden aromas. It is tasty, fresh, bulky and very balanced. It shows good but slightly astringent tannins that will round out after a short time. It has a very nice and very long finish and a long persistence of the aromas of fruit and wood.

Intense dark cherry colour with violet edges. Clean and bright wine with abundant dense tears that stain the glass.

Its intense and complex aromas fill the nose. Its minerals notes are released initially along with the aromas of ripe red and black fruit. When it opens up, the wine gains in expressiveness and many spicy hints appear: vanilla, tobacco, cocoa,... along with good notes of wood.
2005 Strong attack, full of fruit. Oily and tasty mid palate. Polished and pleasant tannins. Balanced acidity. Long and persistent finish.

Deep cherry red with garnet trims. Bright and clean wine with abundant dense tear.

A wide range of elegant and complex aromas that go from the ripe fruit (black) to notes of wood and aromas of sweet spices, minerals, vanilla and chocolate. 
2004 It is powerful and fruity with great freshness, the attack is strong but without edges, round, fat and nice tannin, showing great finesse. Balanced acidity with alcohol. Long finish with memories of terroir in the back.

Color, tone and trim pillory red garnet with violet destelos. Bright and clean with plenty of tears and dense.

Intense aroma and powerful memories of jam-black berries, white chocolate, spices and sloes. Sensations of earth, mineral substance. Memories vanilla. Wood, very well integrated with the fruit adds spice and cedar aromas of new French oak. Notes elegant, complex and evocative.
