About Foradori Fontanasanta Manzoni Bianco

Carving out a niche in the world of wine is a formidable challenge, and even more so if you are a woman. Thus, when Elisabetta Foradori became known as the "Signora del Teroldego" (a native variety of Trentino), she raised no objections. On the contrary, she expressed her desire to be recognised in this way in the enchanting Rotaliana plain, nestled in the Dolomites in northern Italy. In this region, Elisabetta has rediscovered and rejuvenated Teroldego, advocating for biodynamic viticulture practices and ageing in amphorae with the aim of forging a deeper connection with the soil and the natural environment. Consequently, her winery Foradori has become a benchmark, not only for the quality of its wines but also for its commitment to sustainability and innovation.

Fontanasanta Manzoni Bianco is one of her exceptional whites, crafted from the indigenous manzoni bianco variety, sourced from clay-limestone soils in the hills of Trento. With a steadfast belief in biodiversity, she employs biodynamic practices that honour the vital processes of the plants. In the winery, reviving artisanal methods, the hand-harvested and selected grapes ferment with their skins in cement tanks using native yeasts. Subsequently, the wine matures in acacia wood barrels for 7 months.

With no intention of following trends, Foradori Fontanasanta Manzoni Bianco embodies a territory of remarkable beauty. A natural white wine brimming with personality, crafted by one of the great ladies of Italian wine, it astonishes with its verticality and pronounced character.
