About Forster Winzer Spätburgunder

The family as a team is akin to a finely tuned orchestra. If one member is out of sync, it is immediately noticeable, but when everyone is in harmony... the result is much more fluid and harmonious. Here, no one acts independently; each person has their role, style, and moment, yet the key is that everyone is rowing in the same direction. There are days filled with laughter, others of utter chaos, and some of "how on earth do we resolve this now", but what keeps it all together is trust, support, and the spirit of "don't worry, we'll tackle it together".

A perfect example is the Forster family, who have been making wine in Germany for no less than eight generations, as if it were a family project with no expiration date. Today, Margit and Georg Forster are at the helm. Always in sync, like a team that never disconnects for a moment.

Since 1994, they have been working organically, caring for the land and enhancing the winery without losing their essence. They have evolved with the times, yet remain true to themselves.

From this emerges their Spätburgunder (pinot noir), a wine originating from vineyards planted on sandy, clay, and limestone soils. The process involves leaf thinning, green harvesting, and meticulous viticulture. In the winery, the must macerates for 8 days before undergoing a 5-day alcoholic fermentation, and then the wine rests for 16 months in third-use barrels.

Thus, Forster Winzer Spätburgunder is an elegant, smooth, and subtle pinot noir, where fresh fruit blends with a fine complexity and a light structure imparted by the wood. A clear reflection of what it means to be a team working together, with patience, respect for the land, and a way of doing things where every piece counts.
