About Gotim Bru

Gotim Bru is a red wine from the D.O Costers del Segre produced by Castell del Remei, which is located in Penelles, in Lleida.

Constructed in 1780, the winery covers a total land space of 5,500m2.

This is a blend of the varieties Tempranillo, Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. The grape for Gotim Bru originates in its totality from land owned by the winery located in Finca Castell del Remei, which occupies 400ha of land, 70 of which are vineyards. The vines are on average 20 years old.

The harvest per hectare is low, 6,000kg/ha but very good quality. The vines are tied back on double cordon trellises.

After the harvest, the grapes for Gotim Bru start the initial wine process, always following a traditional method of production.

Gotim Bru rests for 10 months in French and American oak barrels.

Gotim Bru 2021 unveils an alluring bouquet, where notes of cherries and black plum skin are interwoven with hints of vanilla and pepper, all layered upon an earthy base reminiscent of damp soil. This vibrant and youthful red wine delivers a palate that marries the warmth of toasted flavors and spices with a vivacity that renders it approachable and refined. Its balance is paramount, preserving a structured and stately framework. The dry and balsamic finish leaves a focused and enduring impression.
