Habla la Tierra is a red wine from V.T. Extremadura crafted by Bodegas Habla. This wine is a blend of the tempranillo, cabernet sauvignon, and syrah grape varieties.
The grapes are sourced from a vineyard comprising 68 plots, each treated individually. The vines are young, approximately 15 years old.
The soils where they grow are slate-rich, infertile, and moist.
The harvest is conducted manually, and the viticulture practiced is ecological, as neither herbicides nor pesticides are used. The grape bunches are meticulously selected, with up to a quarter of the harvest deemed unsuitable.
Each plot is vinified separately, and the entire fermentation process of Habla la Tierra takes place in stainless steel tanks. During this process, the must remains in constant contact with the grape skins.
Finally, before being bottled and released to the market, Habla la Tierra is aged for less than a year in French oak barrels.
Bodegas Habla bears this name in homage to the genius of Michelangelo, the renowned Italian Renaissance architect, sculptor, and painter. Legend has it that this artist, upon seeing Moses, one of his most famous works, struck the statue with a hammer and exclaimed, "Speak!" So perfect it was that the only thing it lacked was life.
The wines of the winery epitomise precisely that: the spirit of always striving for perfection.
