About Hacienda Grimón Crianza

Hacienda Grimón Crianza is a red wine from Rioja, prepared by Hacienda Grimón, a winery located in the Valley of Jubera, in Rioja.

Hacienda Grimón Crianza is a blend of Tempranillo (85%), Grenache (10%) and Graciano (5%). These grapes come from vineyards grown at about 600 metres, with a low production and a high quality.

The cultivation follows organic methods, the vineyards are enriched with composted sheep manure and the use of herbicides for both mechanical and manual tillage is prohibited.

As for the production process, the first step in the creation of Hacienda Grimón Crianza is a rigorous harvest where the grapes are manually selected and a second manual selection occurs in the cellar.

Once selected, a stripping is done and grapes are crushed, the resulting must is poured into steel tanks of 15,000 litres.

This alcoholic fermentation, which lasts nine to twelve days, occurs at a controlled temperature not exceeding 29 ° C.

After vinification, the deposits are pressed using a vertical press. Finally, Hacienda Grimón Crianza is aged for 14 months in French oak (40%) and American oak (60%) barrels.

2011 On the palate this wine is fresh, enjoyable and enveloping, marced by hints of red fruit and citrus. Long aftertaste thanks to the good balance of ripe fruit, roasted notes and fine tannins and a very nice acidity.

Ruby red colour. Medium-robe, intense. Bright.

Aromas of wild red fruits mixed with nice notes of grapefruit. Light touches of smooth roasted notes. Very fresh.
2007 Soft attack with fragile astringency and a lightly toasted flavour, with predominance of notes of ripe fruit. Warm and slightly balsamic finish with sweet notes.

Live garnet with good depth and slightly open edges, with cherry red tones and sparkling ruby.

Powerful aroma dominated by a feeling of warm fruit and nuances of wood (mainly American) with hints of vanilla and cocoa that leave a sweet sensation at the end.
2005 Entry with a soft and fragile astringency a slightly roasted taste is dominated by ripe fruit.

Live with good color maroon with shades of red and ruby hitching flashes.

Powerful aroma dominated by a warm feeling of fruit typical of a Mediterranean climate and nuances of wood with a sensation of vanilla and cocoa.
