About Hacienda Solano Finca Cascorrales

Hacienda Solano Finca Cascorrales is a red wine from a monovarietal Tempranillo, Tinto Fino site, from the D.O. Ribera del Duero made by the Hacienda Solano winery.

Hacienda Solano is a small winery with a craftwork approach whose driving forces are the Cubillo family, the Sarrión family and the Alsatian winemaker Sophie Khün. The winery produces 25,000 bottles a year, and works very traditionally and with great respect for the environment. Pioneers in the certification of emissions, they are the first winery from the denomination of origin that obtained the EnergCO2 stamp, which endorses the positive balance of their way of working regarding the emissions inherent to the wine production process.

Hacienda Solano Finca Cascorrales is a monovarietal Tinto Fino, Tempranillo wine made with grapes from centuries old vines planted in soils with gravel and a little clay. The vineyard operates without the use of pesticides or herbicides and the grapes are harvested manually into 12 kg boxes.

Hacienda Solano Finca Cascorrales is vinified in open 500 litre barrels. It macerates for a long time but in a way that is not very extractive, with few mechanical operations that extract many herbal and bitter aromas and tastes. Finally the wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels and 4 months in storage. Only 951 bottles and 50 magnums of this unique wine are produced.

Hacienda Solano Finca Cascorrales is a traditional wine produced from a very old vineyard. A wine with great volume and structure, black fruit and spicy touches.
2014 Hacienda Solano Finca Cascorrales 2014 has aromas of black fruit, blackberry or blueberries. There are touches of undergrowth, licorice, and balsamic and spicy elements. On the palate it has a lot of volume, good acidity, great bulk and structure.
