About Jean Leon 3055 Chardonnay

Jean Leon 3055 Chardonnay is a white wine from DO Penedes prepared by Jean Leon. This is a varietal organic Chardonnay.

The grapes come from vines planted in 1991 and the harvest is done manually. Fermentation, at a temperature of 15 degrees, is carried out for 21 days. Later it matures in French oak barrels of 225 litres for about two or three months. The wine finally spends a few months in the bottle before being marketed.

Jean Leon 3055 Chardonnay was established as a result of the magical story of Jean Leon, a Spanish restaurant which triumphed in Hollywood. The number 3055 represents the taxi license of Jean Leon in New York, a trade he exercised before opening the restaurant.

This wine depicts the legend of a man who achieved his goal: to be the owner of a major Hollywood restaurant and to make a wine bearing his name.
