About Jean-Yves Péron I Vicini Moscato

Jean-Yves Péron I Vicini Moscato is a natural white wine made by Jean-Yves Péron in Piedmont (Italy) with the Muscat variety in the Vin de la communaute Européenne denomination.
 
After gaining experience from great masters of natural winemaking like Thierry Allemand and Bruno Schueller, Jean-Yves Péron has recovered micro-plots of land in the mountain village of Chevaline (Savoy) to make his own natural wines. This project extended to the other side of the Alps when he began collaborating with Italians Paolo Angelino in Casale Montferrato and Giorgio Barbero in Asti.
 
Jean-Yves Péron I Vicini Moscato comes from vineyards planted on grey and white marl soils in the Italian Alps, in Piedmont. The vines are cultivated in an artisan way without using systematic chemical products that could damage the balance of the terroir. All treatments are organic and biodynamic and the grapes are harvested by hand at the optimum point of ripeness. 
 
In the winery, the Jean-Yves Péron I Vicini Moscato grapes ferment spontaneously with native yeasts. The wine is then aged in used oak barrels. Finally, it is bottled without being filtered, clarified or adding sulphites. 
 
Jean-Yves Péron I Vicini Moscato is one of the projects that Jean-Yves Péron works on in the Italian Alps. A natural white wine with a lot of tannicity and depth.  
 
2017 Jean-Yves Péron I Vicini Moscato 2017 is an aromatic white wine redolent with fragrant white fruit and stone fruit aromas, complemented by mineral nuances. On the palate, it is tannic, profound, and dry. This wine boasts pronounced acidity, with an enjoyable and refreshing progression.
