About L'Antica Quercia Sú Alto

L'Antica Quercia Sú Alto is a natural sparkling wine made by L'Antica Quercia with the Glera variety, in the Veneto region (Italy).

The L'Antica Quercia winery lies in Scomigo, a small town in the municipality of Conegliano, between the Dolomites and Venice. This is a 21-hectare estate making truly unique wines using organic agriculture.

L'Antica Quercia Sú Alto’s Glera grape is grown in vineyards planted in moraine soil formed by a glacier. Since 2007, this winery has used organic agriculture and minimal phytosanitary products. Green manure is used and pruning is manual. The grapes are harvested manually and placed in boxes.

In the winery, the L'Antica Quercia Sú Alto grapes are destemmed, then gently pressed. The resulting must ferments at a low temperature with native yeasts. A second fermentation then takes place in the bottle without disgorgement, filtering or adding sulphites.

L'Antica Quercia Sú Alto is a colfondo wine, a type of bottle-fermented prosecco that is light and fresh with very dominant fruit.
