La Bien Plantá 2024 is a deep cherry-red wine, exhibiting an unexpected delicacy and vibrant red fruit reminiscent of freshly opened cherries. On the nose, it appears clear and expressive, with red fruit aromas unfolding naturally, without ostentation, like a conversation that flows effortlessly. On the palate, it is silky and expansive, with an enveloping yet light texture, where freshness supports each sip, imparting a very pleasant sense of balance. Its finish is long and slightly surprising, leaving an elegant trace that lingers calmly, like the last warm light at the end of the day.

About La Bien Plantá

What if the finest discovery of the month wasn't nestled on an exclusive shelf, but right there among the wines you could uncork any given Tuesday without a second thought?
 
La Bien Plantá is born within Viñas Familia Gil, a winery with over a century of experience in viticulture, steeped in the patience of ancient craft. This is not a tale of grand gestures, but of continuity: wineries scattered across Spain that share a common ethos, crafting honest wines, rooted in tradition, yet attuned to the present. In Almansa (Castilla-La Mancha), one of these pieces of the puzzle, this project finds its most direct expression.
 
Here, the garnacha thrives at over 700 metres, in dry, stony soils that compel the vine to concentrate without asking for permission. The result does not seek to dazzle, yet it is noticeable: vibrant red fruit, a juicy sensation, a touch of unexpected freshness, and that hint of character that emerges when the wine has had to strive to reach the glass. It is biodynamic and organic, yes, but above all, it is a red wine that feels natural, uncontrived, easy to appreciate from the first sip.
 
And perhaps therein lies its charm: La Bien Plantá is one of those wines that require no special occasion. You can open it without ceremony, with a simple pasta, a homemade pizza, a cheese board, or an impromptu dinner with friends. And suddenly realise that, for that price, you've discovered something that doesn't aspire to be significant… yet fits deliciously well into real life.
