Emilio Moro La Felisa is a red wine crafted by Bodegas Emilio Moro in Pesquera de Duero (Valladolid), DO. Ribera del Duero.
Bodegas Emilio Moro embodies the tale of a family devoted to winemaking for over half a century, where the first generation dedicated themselves to the land, the second instilled their expertise in the third, and this latter has established a brand renowned on an international scale.
They currently own 375 hectares of vineyard, all grafted with the purest clone of Tinto Fino. The oldest date back to 1924, located in the Valderramiro estate, at the very heart of the Ribera del Duero.
All vineyards are cultivated sustainably and with the utmost respect for the terroir and its landscape, leveraging technology to enhance quality, both in the vineyard and in the winery throughout all processes. In this manner, Emilio Moro has managed to carve out a distinct and precise identity in the production of traditional yet modern and contemporary red wines from the Ribera del Duero.
Emilio Moro La Felisa is a wine created as a tribute to a woman, the mother of the third generation of the family, from whom it takes its name. It is also a homage to the way wines were made in the past: a wine with a more primary and rustic character. The first vintage was in 2016.
Emilio Moro La Felisa is the brand's first organic wine, free from added sulfites. Emilio Moro La Felisa is a red wine made from Tinto Fino from their own organically farmed vineyards, aged between 15 and 25 years, situated at an altitude of 900 metres on clay-loam soils.
After the manual harvest, in the winery, Emilio Moro La Felisa undergoes fermentation at a controlled temperature, macerating with the skins for 18 days. Finally, Emilio Moro La Felisa is bottled without added sulfites.
