About La Gutina Glu Glu

La Gutina Glu Glu is a natural single-variety Garnacha red wine made by the La Gutina winery, in the L'Empordà region, Catalonia.

The grapes used to make the La Gutina Glu Glu wine come from vineyards that are worked according to organic farming principles and with minimal intervention. The harvest is carried out manually and the grapes are collected in thirteen kilo boxes. When the clusters reach the winery, they go through the process of carbonic maceration to extract aromas and flavours and create a juicy and fruity wine that is fun and very easy to drink. A delicious danger!

Joan Carles Torres and Barbara Magugliani are the driving forces behind Celler La Gutina, and they look after their vineyards with an affection and respect for nature. All their wines are made with their own grapes that come from eight hectares of plots that are worked manually and without chemicals. In the winery they make their wines without any intervention. Fermentation takes place with native yeasts, no wine products are used at any time during the process and they bottle their wines without adding sulphur, clarifying or filtering.

The result? Honest wines with different and strong personalities that express the producers’ love for their land, these are surprising natural wines and La Gutina Glu Glu is a fun and addictive introduction to Empordà.
